Railway station in Hua hin Thailand

One of the oldest in Thailand, it was constructed in 1920 during the reign of King Rama VI, and located on Damnoern Kasem Road. An ornate red-and-cream wooden pavilion dominates the low platform and the colonial-style main building.

Hua hin

A favorite getaway for Bangkok residents, Hua Hin is a pretty beachside town. Family friendly and relaxed, it lacks the all-night partying and seedier aspects that make other nearby beach resorts a haven for unsavory characters. Once a small fishing village, it was transformed into a royal resort, and it’s these close links with Thai royalty that ensure Hua Hin won’t become overdeveloped or lose its small-town vibe.

Horse riding on the beach of Hua hin

horses go up and down the beach all day, and you can hire from the beach mainly outside Sofitel Resort, or anywhere you see a vacant horse and handler on the beach! The breed used is a smallish pony and you would most likely be escorted by the handler who has to pick up and remove any droppings. After a days ''walking'' it is fun to see the horses being ridden like the clappers, for a bit of excercise, on their way home!

Plearn wan Hua hin

Newly constructed traditional old Thai market and buildings are charming attraction. Anterior wooden structures look like warehouse in the past. Goods sold inside were both new and old styles. Used to be crowded with teenagers taking photos, but now seem faded with time.

Silk selling on the beach in hua hin

beach seller : Woman sell cloths on the beach at Huahin.

Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market

Not a true floating market but stalls surrounding a large pond. It's practically the same as a night market but with a time difference and lacking the atmosphere. They're selling the usual stuff for tourists at the usual prices. Some basic places to eat but nothing worthy of a mention. You can buy food and feed the fish or goats. Free entry, should take you an hour to get around.

Swiss sheep farm Cha-am Hua hin

Located in North Cha-Am Beach Area; Opposite Santorini Amusement Park; These is a gimmick sheep farm for visitor stop and take mobile selfie photo shoot. Horse ride ; Sheep feeding services Also Souvenir dolls to sell. .

Market village Hua hin

Market Village is a nice (and so far biggest) shopping mall in Hua Hin. You can find here a Lotus super market, several banks and retsaurants. Also some fast food stores are here. The athmosphere is more like a market village than a shopping mall. A very pleasant place. Due to the increased tourist numers in Hua Hin in th elast years it gets very crowde.

Marukhathaiyawan Cha-am

The palace is set in its own grounds which are nice to walk about but in addition one of the royal princesses has opened up much of the area as an environmental park with pathways and bridges crossing mangroves. There is also a bird hide and many cycle paths. It is 30 bhat to enter the grounds and another 30 to go into the upstairs rooms of the palace.

Suan Son Pradipaht or Sea Pine Tree Garden is located in a military camp about 9km south of Hua Hin. This beach has long been accepted as one of the most popular beaches in Hua Hin. Belonging to the Army Welfare office, the beach is open from around 5.30 am until midnight.

A tranquil and relaxing place to visit

This amazing beach in Hua Hin gives you a glimpse of genuine Thai beach life. It is one of the places you might want to consider, when escaping from the commercial tourism. Suan Son Beach was officially opened to the public as a tourist destination at the end of 2001.

The beach is very good for swimming and other beach activities, with fewer rocks than there are at Hua Hin main beach. The remarkable feature of this beach, as the name suggests, is the Sea Pine trees (Son) that grow in rows giving an orderly look.

These Pine trees provide adequate shade for one to sit and relax while admiring the beauty of nature, cool sea breeze touching one's face calmly. The vast area of Suan Son Beach makes it possible for various kinds of group activities such as football, which always is an almost permanent feature of this beach. Taking a walk on the white powdery sand along this beach is another almost certain thing one would to coming to this beach in Hua Hin.

Get a comfortable stay here

Another reason why people keep coming to this Suan Son Beach is because of the variety of accommodation that is available here. Hotels and bungalows with required facilities in this delightful atmosphere is the ideal place to spend your time. You have a wide range of types and price of the room you want to stay in. The price of hotel rooms ranges between 1,600 baht to 7,000 baht per night for general people. As for bungalows, the price ranges from 1,800 baht to 3,400 baht. Get full rest in these well-maintained accommodations at Suan Son Beach and rejuvenate yourself, receive the fresh and cheerful feeling nature will provide. Though Suan Son Beach is billed as one of the most popular beaches in Hua Hin where people prefer to pay a visit and spend their time, it retains its beauty and freshness perfectly well.

Feel free to enjoy yourself in a safe place

One major advantage of this place is the soldiers belonging to the military camp who take care of the place, so the tourists and the guests who stay in the area will feel safe. You may even take a tour around this spacious camp to get a better idea and feel of the place. The well-laid garden is another attractive element here. Various restaurants serve a wide variety of food at reasonable prices. Be happy and relaxed to the full extent, on the sandy beach that virtually connects to Khao Tao which is some 3 kilometers to the south. The sparkling sea in the front, Khao Tao on your right, Khao Takiab on your left is one of the rare views you can have only here -the Suan Son Beach.

Beaches around Hua hin

The beach at Hua Hin stretches from the middle of town to the rocky promontory at Khao Takiap. Although there are large rock formations in the water, particularly near the Sofitel, the sea bed is sandy rather than rocky. The strip of sand at Hua Hin is fairly narrow, but there always seems to be space on the sand to spread a towel. Beach umbrellas and deckchairs slung with canvas are available for rent and there are numerous opportunities for activities like jet-sking, para-sailing, horseback riding and riding a banana boat.

Takiab Bay

To the south of Khao Takiap is Takiap Bay, a 5km strip of sand that includes the beaches of Hat Takiap, Suan Son and Khao Tao. These beaches are more isolated and are fronted by numerous hotels and resorts. Hat Takiap is the most popular of the three and is easily reached by songthaew from the centre of Hua Hin. It is also the site of a small fleet of fishing boats and a collection of excellent seafood restaurants that offer a choice seafood at a fraction of what it would probably cost you back home.

Nice and relaxing Hua Hin beach just 7 km / 4 miles south of the center of Hua Hin on the Gulf of Thailand Coast, from Hua Hin go past the Marriott and Hyatt Regency resorts, beyond Khao Takiab Temple and View point, this beach is around the headland in Takiab Bay and you would miss it if you didn't know about it. In addition to nice beach with clear water there are Elephant Rides, Jet Ski, boats to offshore island, long beac, nice restaurants. Also in the area Off Road all terrain buggy riding, cycling, lots of temples, very nice area. Although Hua hin town is very pleasant many find it more built up than expected and perhaps do not venture away from the center, but Khao Takiab is just 10 minutes from the center of Hua Hin and provides so much more for those seeking a relaxing beach and well priced accommodation, Weekend and vacation houses are many together with a couple of hotels, the Anantasila Resort, Bluewave Hotel, Takiab resort, Seahorse, the new Napalai Hua Hin and other hotels, boutique guesthouses and also budget bungalows and cabins.

Suan Son Pradiphat Beach

Just 8 kms away in the South of town, you can view pine tree gardens beside the beach. The beach though is not the same in Khao Takiab but it's wider and very clean. The beach itself is run by Army Welfare Office with pretty gardens and a beach open to the public. You can find cheaper bungalows and small hotels that makes the place more comfy. the beach can get too crowded yet it's peaceful and shady place to stay around... You can find many foods in the entrance. they have small shops for farangs, too.

Hat Sai Noi beach

On your way to Pranburi from the Khao Tao Temple. Its not crowded at all, and there are even cold drinks available. Also, there are noticeably less rocks in the ocean compared to Hua Hin beach, which made for better swimming. Bottom-line: If you're in the area, this is a nice little beach to chill at.Hat Sai Noi Beach a small sandy beach from the beach you can see two small islands, Ko Singto (lion island and Ko Tao (turtle island) Hat Sai Noi Beach is located within walking distance to our project Manora Village. Sai Noi beach is a charming little bay hemmed in by two large rocky headlands. The beach is no more than a few hundred metres long

Khao Tao

Not to be confused with the island Koh Tao, Khao Tao is a small village around 15km south of Khao Takiab. The biggest attraction here is the delightful little bay and beach at Hat Sai Noi and the large Khao Tao temple complex. To get there turn left off the highway at the sign for Khao Tao, over the railway and turn right before the lake, follow it round and keep to the left at the fork (otherwise you'll end up in the army camp). There is a small sheltered bay at Haad Sai Noi with two or three restaurants serving good food, plenty of seating but does get busy at weekends. Swimming is good as it gets deep quick however jellyfish have been spotted here.

Cha-am beach

The atmosphere at Cha-am is different from Hua Hin. The beach is fronted by a long row of casuarina trees and its is more spread out. It is in fact the longest stretch of sand in all of Thailand. In addition, it is closer to Bangkok, making it popular with Thais who motor in from the Big Mango for a day at the beach or a couple of days in the condo they have purchased in one of high-rises fronting the beach.

The Thais love to snack while they play in the water and the beach is chocablok with vendors selling everything from cotton candy to grilled horseshoe crabs. There are also numerous opportunities for watersports, including the inevitable jet-skies, para-sailing and banana boats. There is an abundance of deckchairs and umbrellas for rent and numerous bathhouses where you can use the toilet or wash the sand off with fresh water.

Cha-am is not only the home of several large resorts, it is also has numerous small and reasonably priced guesthouses only a few metres from the strand. There is a lot to eat here, but you'll find much less 'foreign' food that in neighbouring Hua Hin. One thing to remember about Cha-am is that it relatively quite on weekdays, crowded on weekends and really packed on public holidays.

Pranburi beach

Although it has a long history, Pranburi is just coming into its own as a tourist attraction. Located 30km to the south of Hua Hin it is quieter, more relaxed and less developed than the better known resorts to the north. It is precisely these qualities that give Pranburi its appeal and it has grown in popularity over the past few years with those who want a little peace and tranquillity while they laze in the sun.

The beach is fronted by a small road that extends south from estuary of the Pranburi river to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Today Pranburi is the home to a growing number of small, but attractive boutique resorts. For those who want to spend time in Hua Hin, several of the Pranburi resorts offer their own transport.
