Played this course last week (30th April 2008). Was
OK but nothing more. Felt a bit rough around the edges,
with fairways not in the best condition. Greens are
slow, however views on course very good. Would play it
again but there are fair better courses around

12nov.course was very lush due nice rain in the past
few weeks.fairways and greens were good, but be aware,
greens are very slow and that is due to the type of
grass being used, runs true. please also notice that you
must hit the ball on the green, as the grass around the
green does not offer and roll of any kind, once again
this is dictated by the type of grass being
used.gorgeous temple sits behind the green on hole #14.
course is located conveniently in the middle of HH.
Enjoy the history of this the oldest course in Thailand.

I would like to make foreign visitors to Thailand
aware that this course has a double pricing policy. If
you are a foreigner and want to play golf in the Hua Hin
area, I strongly urge you to boycott this course and
choose a different one. I certainly will not play at
this course again. I live and work in Thailand as a
teacher and I would bet that most Thais who play golf
are richer than me. Double pricing is just so short
sighted.

Played on 24-Apr. Fairway was so hard and dry. The
ball rolled like in a paveway. Our caddies are great,
very helpful and knowledgeable of the course. Until the
grass is back, green-fee is too high.

This course is a goat pasture. Do not waste your
money. Too expensive at any price. Layout OK but would
be nice if the fairways had grass on them

Played on Mar 23rd. Fairways were dry with a lot of
bare spots and green were slow and inconsistent from
green to green. Need a lot of attention. With this
classic lay out and history behind it, this course needs
a lot better maintenence and attention.

A spectacular course and certainly challenging off
the back teees, plenty of protection due to trees, rough
and small greens, course is in excellent conditon and
like playing in a botanic garden, a must-play. Greens
are very small, surface grainy and difficult to read,
very challenging, don't expect to score well!

This course grows on you. Shorter holes all seem to
have well placed fairway bunkers and postage stamp
greens. Longer holes have larger greens, usually with
two tiers, and lots of undulation. Because course wasn't
busy, I made it around very quickly. Only complaint is
the caddies. Often they don't rake the bunkers, and they
have a habit of talking during your backswing.

17 Feb.A traditional golf course but fairways
suffering from lack of water and many off fairway parts
are just dry earth.Short, narrow, holes with some doglegs
and no water hazards.Clubhouse and carts in good
condition. Worth playing just to be reminded of how golf
courses used to be before so called "signature
designers" came along.

Prices are relatively high compared to rest of
Thailand but that is the nature/ magic of Hua Hin.
Beautiful natural course with virtually no water and
fairways/greens were quite well maintained. Played
course two times during mid September 2003. Both times
on week days and thus no crowds. Apparently some of the
Thai pros like to play here and use the driving range as
we saw one of the top Thai pros practicing both days we
were there. Having a driving range is great way to warm
up. Greens were excellent and the scenery is hard to
beat. Caddies were okay but on the first day we had a
talker who liked to comment on every swing, every hole
that became grating after a few holes. Would definitely
play here again. Locker rooms were okay and they have an
air pressure hose to clean your shoes but the locker
attendants do NOT clean golf shoes (unusual for
Thailand). Locker room looked like it was in good
condition (recently remodeled??).

So nice to play a course in Thailand without water.
I played badly but the course is pleasant enough to take
your mind of the bad shots and let you enjoy the walk.
Really loved the par 3 on the back 9 which looks out at
the temple.

So happy game with this old-classic course, but
caddies were much older!. Believe your caddy--is my
advise. You may surprise to see their beautiful swing
and technic to improve your shot. Fairway and clubhouse
was fairly renovated. And green was pretty well
maintenance. You will have a good game there I promise.
